Who We Are
LACKA Behavioral Health is a provider of behavioral and mental health care in Hamilton, New Jersey, that utilizes evidence-based practices to achieve body, mind, and spiritual balance. Our services are holistic and strength-based, and we treat our clients as partners in their treatments. Together, we understand the nature of their problems and find healthy ways to help them cope. Their treatment plan can be a combination therapy of psychiatric medication with psychotherapy to set aside their symptoms. Clients are 100% involved, and we also consider their preferences when creating their treatment plans. LACKA Behavioral Health consults for these profit organizations in New Jersey: Genesis Counseling Centers and The Work Group, INC. Also, LACKA Behavioral Health liaises with K Mental Wellness in New Jersey and Bridge to Care in New York, both reputable and privately owned psychiatric and mental health doctorate nurse providers.
LACKA Behavioral Health is committed to bringing hope to the hopeless and light to those in the darkness. We strongly believe that life stressors and despair are not the ends of joy and life. With our dedicated team, we help individuals with behavioral and mental health challenges gain access to the right support, behavioral intervention, and/or counseling. We help clients achieve empowerment through evidence-based practice. Furthermore, with our in-depth knowledge in the field of mental and behavioral health, we provide care with appropriate resources and training to meet our clients’ needs.

About the Owner
Dr. Loretta Oguonu, DNP, is a New Jersey State Licensed and Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with eight years of experience in treating younger adults and older adults with mental health issues and 16 years of experience as a nurse in mental health disorders. She graduated with honors in all her nursing and mental health education programs. She maintains LACKA Behavioral Health practice in which she specializes in the treatment of younger and older adults with a broad range of mental health issues, including diagnosis and treatment for psychosis, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, ADD/ADHD, impulsivity, aggression, geriatric psychiatry, and more.
At LACKA Behavioral Health, she provides pharmacological medication management in combination with psychotherapy to restore and maintain the optimal health of clients. She provides high-quality, comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-focused care for younger adults and older adult clients. In her extensive years of practice in psychiatry, she has worked for underserved communities in the state psychiatric hospitals and outpatient community clinics of profit organizations, comprising the largest healthcare establishment in the central and southern areas of New Jersey. Currently, she is serving as a psychiatric consultant to New Jersey profit organizations as an independent nurse practitioner and psychiatric provider providing services to individuals with substance use disorders, dual diagnosis, and intellectual and developmental disabilities/disorders.
She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Upsilon Rho Chapter and the Chi Zeta Chapter, both honor societies for nurses focused on connecting and empowering nurse leaders to transform global healthcare. She is also a member of the Nigerian Nurses Association Pennsylvania Chapter and the Nigerian Association of Nurse Practitioners, USA, organizations dedicated to educating and creating awareness about various illnesses for preventive purposes in different communities in the USA and other African countries. Lastly, Dr. Loretta Oguonu is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the American Nurses Association (ANA), the New Jersey Nurses Association, and more.
